All We Need

Posted by: Sonny   in God, Personal, Prayer

man in praiseMy daughter had her first accident this evening.  While driving the speed limit on the interstate in the drizzling rain she somehow lost control and hit a guard rail which sent her back across the two lanes and off the other side.  According to the word I received the car is probably totaled.  The airbags did not engage but, God is good and He is merciful; she was not seriously hurt.

I was reminded of an accident many years ago where the state trooper, on arrival at the scene, declared his surprise that I was able to stand and address him.  The paramedics told my daughter something similar.  Even though I lived for many years in opposition to God, sometimes actively fighting for the enemy of us all, I can look back and see the many instances where it seems the protective arms of our Creator were wrapped around me.

I believe this is true for my daughter, and my other children and grandchildren.  I believe it to be true because no matter what we are doing or where we are in life, God loves us.  He loves us before we love Him and He loves us even if we never love Him.  I also believe it to be true because I am praying for them all.  My wife is praying for them all.  In fact, there are a lot of us praying for them all.

It is an amazing thing to realize that the Creator of all things cares enough for every one of us that He protects us even if we do not deserve it.

I praise God tonight.  Not for what He does or has done.  Not even for His part in saving my daughter from harm.

I praise Him for who He is.  Because who He is, is the answer to all we need.

Pray for your loved ones tonight.

Love you all

We’re continuing to pray for you and your family. As you have noted, God’s love is amazing. In the midst of this war-zone of a world, our Father tirelessly fights in our behalf.

We rejoice with you all concerning the love and grace of God.

I am also living proof that His love for me was always there long before I ever acknowledged it.

I do pray for my loved ones daily. And for the record, my church family is included as part of those loved ones.

I am grateful that Stacy was not injured. God is way better than an air bag any ol’ day ;)

I am so sorry that Stacy experienced something like that. I am sure that it would have been frightening. We will be praying for her and thanking God for her safety.

I just want to join you in giving God praise…for everything.

I get so discouraged at times that our children have not made that decision to never turn back.
I know God is faithful, you are my reminder! There were also times when I wondered if you would ever realize how wonderful God is and turn everything over to Him. Now I am reminded that I am not in this battle alone, we are fighting this war together, for the same reason, to gain the same conclusion. It will happen, I know it will.

I am praying encouragement to each of those who have someone in their life who does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Never give up! Never give in! Hardest of all… Never give out, the enemy will see your weakness and the crack in the wall. Let us meet at the wall and build a fortress around our loved ones that the enemy cannot penetrate as spoke about in Nehemiah 4.
Keep your mind in the game. Keep your weapon ready and keep your focus on the work at hand.

I am glad to hear Stacy wasn’t hurd bad in this incident. I agree with Connie God is better than any air bag any day!! I’ll keep her and all the rest in my prayers. If there is anything we can do just let us know.

God is faithful and so patient with us. Even when we are so frustrated with the way things are going we must hold on to His promises. As I look accross the landscape of HIs Word I find such compfort. I am so thankful for my family and friends both saved and unsaved. We all bring diversity to the table. I have hope for those that are lost to find the Lord and comfort for the hurting. Some of you know that this week Yogi’s sister went home to be with the Lord. She was 72 years old and not in the best of health. Her passing is hard for us but glorious for her. She has always been a positive example for me. We will miss her, but we do have the hope of seeing her again. This life is but a vapor a moment in time we must remember to make the best/most of it. Share the love of God and Pray for family members, friends, co-workers and the ones you come in contact in your daily walk we never know when their time will come up and their life will end–where will we spend eternity? It is wonderful that Stacy is ok I am very glad to hear she survived her accident with little harm-God’s grace is sufficient. Tell someone you love them today you may not be able to tomorrow.

I love you all,

Nancy
